Creative District

Ogden City and several community partners are working to establish a creative district. The proposed boundaries have been identified as the area between 24th and 26th Streets from Wall to Jefferson Avenues. These 12 square blocks, which include Historic 25th Street and the Jefferson Historic District, are already home to many of Ogden’s creative, cultural, and historic sites, buildings, businesses, and organizations. As we work to establish this Creative District, we hope to see an increase of facilities, resources, and opportunities for artists and creatives. The Creative District will help to connect Historic 25th Street, the Junction, and East Central neighborhoods.

#wecreateogden is an opportunity to express your unique vision for a new Creative District in Ogden.  Share your ideas and your craft by tagging photos showing how you live, create, and engage with the community:

  • WHAT IF - Take a picture of an empty lot or run-down building and tell us what you think it could become.
  • I CREATE - Share with us what you, your friends, and neighbors are working on.
  • CREATIVE LIFE - How do you live creatively in the district?  What makes your neighborhood unique?

Post your photos to Facebook or Instagram with the hashtag #wecreateogden, and set your posts to public so that we can receive your submissions. Images posted for the next two weeks will be collected and displayed at an interactive community idea exhibition on May 17th. Prizes will be awarded to the posts with the most likes!
