Ogden City Council meetings are now live streamed on the Council’s website and social media accounts and televised on Channel 17. The live stream allows residents to watch their local government in action on computers and mobile devices anywhere there is an Internet connection.
The Council began video recording its meetings in 2009, and the recordings were shared with the public on the Council’s Agendas & Minutes webpage and televised on Channel 17 in the days following the meeting. That archive will continue to be maintained with the video captured during the live stream.
“We are constantly looking for opportunities to make our meetings more accessible to the public,” City Council Chair Marcia White said. “The community has shown a real interest in our televised meetings, and live streaming brings those meetings to a much wider audience in real time.”
The Ogden City Council meets on Tuesdays at 6:00 p.m. Meeting agendas are made available the Friday before a meeting on the Council’s Agendas & Minutes webpage.
