Case Sexual Assault Investigation - The Ogden City Police Department has identified a suspect in two decades-old sexual assault cases from 1994 and 1997, thanks to recent DNA advancements. Jerald Leroy McAdams, already a convicted sex offender, was linked to both cases through forensic evidence and arrested in Washington State by Ogden Police Detectives. He now faces extradition to Utah to face charges of kidnapping and rape. Authorities are urging anyone with additional information about McAdams’ activities in Weber County between 1991 and 1998 to come forward.

Media Release, 25G34762 (Officer-Involved Critical Incident) - Just after 2:10 AM on Tuesday, May 13th, an Ogden Police Department officer encountered a 37-year-old male walking in the roadway in the 2200 block of Wall Avenue. During the encounter, the suspect armed himself and threatened the officer with a pair of knives that had been concealed in his pockets. The suspect advanced towards the officer despite orders not to do so. The officer fired his handgun, striking the suspect. The suspect was transported to a local hospital with gunshot wounds and is currently listed in stable condition. The identity of the suspect is not being released at this time.
